Growth tends to fall into two buckets: stuff you’d want on your résumé, and stuff you’d want in your eulogy.
Nobody’s going to mention your AWS certification in your eulogy; that’s résumé stuff. And nobody’s putting “I’d give you the shirt off my back” in their résumé; that’s eulogy stuff.
Both are important. The danger comes in focusing on one and ignoring the other.
