Have the courage to say what everyone knows but isn’t saying.
I’m not sure where the quote came from, but it resonates with me more and more. Often in teams, everyone sees an uncomfortable truth that nobody’s talking about.
“If everyone knows it, why would I need to say it?” Because saying it is the first step towards fixing it.
What’s the thing in your team that everyone sees but nobody says out loud?
