The first Google results for “tips for a better life” points here which lists these seven:
- Eat nourishing food
- Sleep seven to eight hours per night
- Keep company with good people
- Avoid news overdose
- Get regular exercise
- Do something meaningful each day
- Think good thoughts for others
It’s all the most boring, cliched advice I can imagine. Yet I don’t think to check myself against those seven things when I’m not feeling happy.
Cliched advice is cliched for a reason. It’s how we can find our baseline.
