Debate to learn, learn to debate

That quote is maybe a bit extreme (I’ve learned a lot from people who agree with me but are more experienced or knowledgeable) but I like the direction it takes you.

Healthy debate will teach you a lot, and it’s fun if you don’t take it too seriously. And as a side benefit, debating more will make you better at debating.
