Would you still do that thing if you could never tell anyone about it?

If you couldn’t talk to anyone about that thing you’re going to do, would it be worth doing at all? Ask yourself that to think through your motivations.

If the answer is “no” then maybe you’re just in it to look good. And that’s not necessarily bad; sometimes looking good helps you reach your goals. But it’s best to be intentional about it.
