I have a few gripes with most food/calorie/macro trackers:
- About half the stuff I eat on any given day is stuff I eat EVERY day and I don’t want to enter it manually every day.
- I don’t want to deal with macros. My checklist diet takes care of making sure I’m getting enough protein, which is the main thing I care about.
- Finding the exact product I ate and the exact weight/volume of it is annoying and not worth the added precision for me.
I’ve tried and abandoned probably 20 different calorie trackers for those reasons. So I made one (with Copilot in ~30 minutes) that’s so simple it’s barely even useful, which is perfect for me.
- You enter the food name and the number of calories
- It gives you total calories for the day
- You can pin foods that you eat every day
- That’s all it does
