The case for minimalism

I heard a defense of a minimalist lifestyle recently that I liked.

Everything in your life has a tiny string tugging at your attention. The lamp by your bed. Your Instagram feed. The one-on-one meeting tomorrow afternoon. That C battery rolling around in your kitchen drawer. Your cousin in Rhode Island. The broccoli in your freezer. Everything.

Remove as much as possible from your life. Cutting those strings gives your attention some room to breathe. Be ruthless.
