My favorite Wikipedia page of all time is “Lean software development” which has this list of examples of “waste”:
- Partially done work
- Extra features
- Relearning
- Task switching
- Waiting
- Handoffs
- Defects
- Management activities
Ask your team to put those in order of time spent, and create an experiment for improving the top one.
