I’ve never found anything more effective for burning off stress or frustration or rage than this:
- Sprint all out for a minute like something’s chasing you.
- Catch your breath for a minute.
- Repeat steps 1 and 2 until you have nothing left
That’s a rage run. It’s simple and time efficient and it’s gotten me through some terrible moods. If I finish a rage run and don’t feel relief, then I haven’t actually finished yet.
I know I’m acting like I invented high intensity interval training. But there’s something about this format specifically that’s magical. Maybe it’s that it also forces me to go outside?
