Here’s the process:
- List all the activities you need or want to do in a given week
- Beside each one, write the percentage of time you’d ideally spend doing that thing
- Be ruthless in making those percentages match reality
For example, if you want to spend 10% of your working hours in 1-1 meetings, then stop thinking “I need to meet with these 10 people for half an hour each week.” Turn it around. Think: “I have 4 hours per week for 1-1s. How can I make the most of them?”
