If someone asks if they can give you feedback, it’s OK to say “not right now.”
Maybe you’re overwhelmed already. Maybe you’re feeling fragile at the moment. Maybe you’re too distracted to give it the attention that feedback deserves.
Being a good feedback recipient means having the self awareness and courage to be honest when you aren’t in the right mindset.
(And this is why the feedback giver should always ask “can I give you some feedback?” instead of just blurting it out.)
