I talked in “Take the pressure off of conversations” about how talking is easier if it’s secondary to some other activity (hiking, driving, etc.).
And I talked in “Why do I get stressed about 1-1s?” about getting stressed about 1-1s (it’s a well named blog post).
So combine them and you get… 🥁 the walking 1-1. With Zoom on my phone and a decent bluetooth headset, I can go for a walk AND have a (video-less) 1-1 chat. It takes the pressure off a bit and makes the conversation more natural.
Plus, outside is good!
