I have talked a lot lot lot lot lot lot about my crippling Slack addiction. But it all really comes down to one thing, the only thing that consistently works for me, and has for years.

I have to block Slack for most of the day to get anything done. I give myself ten minutes of Slack time per hour. Once minute 11 starts, Focus blocks the app and website until an hour later.


Or even if you don’t feel like you have a problem with it, block Slack. If nothing else, it’d be an interesting experiment.
