A couple months ago, I added that question as a recurring task in my todo list.
Once a week, it pops up. So I have to ask myself. And that usually follows this pattern:
- Do you really want to feel like this forever?
- Well no, I’m not excited, I’m stressed.
- What are you stressed about?
- This day I’m starting. Just look at my calendar!
- So what can you change, right now, to make it a little better from now on?
Maybe that means declining a meeting, delegating a task, deciding not to do something, blocking off time for the thing I want to do, whatever. But it always makes me feel a bit better.
